The Family Visitation Coordinator is a non-clinical role responsible for overseeing the on-site implementation of supervised visitation services. This position ensures visits are conducted safely, smoothly, and in compliance with court orders and agency policies. The Coordinator manages visitation flow, staffing assignments for visits, documentation oversight, and parent–child transitions while supporting Family Visitation Facilitators in delivering consistent, child-centered visitation services.
Oversee supervised visitation services during scheduled visitation sessions to ensure safety, structure, and compliance with program guidelines and court orders.
Assign families to Family Visitation Facilitators for each visitation session based on staffing needs and visit requirements.
Monitor on-site staffing levels during visitation sessions and adjust coverage as appropriate, including reducing staff shifts when visitation volume does not require full staffing.
Ensure smooth, organized, and safe child drop-off and pick-up processes, including coordinating parent arrival and departure and confirming children are properly accounted for at all times.
Provide on-site oversight to ensure visitation sessions proceed calmly, efficiently, and in a child-focused manner.
Review visitation documentation and reports for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
Ensure Family Visitation Facilitators adhere to agency policies, visitation guidelines, safety protocols, and ethical standards.
Address visitation concerns, boundary issues, or incidents as they arise and ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Serve as an on-site support resource for Facilitators regarding visitation procedures (non-clinical).
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all interactions.
Support quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts related to supervised visitation services.
Associate degree (AA) or completion of up to 60 college credits preferred.
Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children and families.
Experience in supervised visitation, child welfare, family services, or related settings preferred.Strong documentation, organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to manage on-site operations and make real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
